If you've ever been intimidated by French wines (and honestly, who hasn't?) but have always wanted to learn more, this is the class for you!
This two hour seminar will cover the basics of French wine and dive deep into its major regions. You'll learn about French wine history, why the French don't list the grape variety on the label, what exactly is terroir and what makes a wine distinctly French. We'll taste wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone Valley, Loire, Languedoc, Alsace along with a few surprises. After this class, you'll feel more confident buying French wines and ordering them at a restaurant. Alpana will also show you how learning about French wines can enhance your experience of other wines from around the globe. This class is designed for both the novice and advanced enthusiast.
Space is limited to 13 person, 21 and older. This is a sitdown, classroom style seminar that will be held at Perman Wine Selections. Class begins promptly at 7 pm but please arrive by 6:45 pm to get yourself settled. Please note, we will not be providing any food.
